[FIX] Again! Windows 10 Upgrade Causes Error on Thousands of PCs

Even the November update did not exclude Microsoft from issues with Windows 10. Users reported that the last security update caused installation errors, which even prevented their installation. Fortunately, there is an alternative for those affected by the problem.

Many users went to the Microsoft Support Forum to report a negative experience with Windows Update KB4524570. During installation, system code errors 0x80073701 and 0x8009001d are displayed. Then the whole process stops.

Microsoft's solution to the problem is trivial: check back for updates and repeat the process. Clearly, this second attempt may not escape error.

So Microsoft suggested another possible solution to the problem. Follow the steps:

Start command prompt (CMD) with administrator permission;

Type or copy the following command: dism / online / cleanup-image / startcomponentclanup;

Wait for a response from the terminal and restart the device;

Please try to update again.

As this is a security update, it is important that most users accept it. However, it is better to wait until Microsoft comes up with a solution.
