Chelsea will visit Leeds headquarters at Elland Road to play the 33rd match week of the Premier League 2021/22, Thursday (12/05/2022) at  12:00 midnight Indian time.

Chelsea is currently still in the third position in the standings with a collection of 67 points. The Blues' position in the Champions League zone is still not safe considering they are now only 5 points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur who are in the fifth position.

Chelsea itself is in a negative trend lately. In 3 consecutive matches in the Premier League, Chelsea was not able to pick a win though. They were held to a 1-1 draw by Manchester United, lost 0-1 to Everton, and most recently held to a 2-2 draw by Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The match against Leeds itself could be the next stumbling block for Chelsea. The reason is Leeds is currently in need of points to get out of the relegation zone.

Leeds is currently in the red zone, which is eighteenth in the standings with 34 points, losing to Burnley's goal aggressiveness in the safe zone.

Leeds' own performance in winning has been poor lately. Just like Chelsea, Leeds is also without a win even in 3 consecutive matches in the Premier League. The Peacocks were held to a 0-0 draw by Crystal Palace, then lost successively 0-4 against Manchester City and 1-2 against Arsenal.

At the first meeting in the 16th match week of the English Premier League this season, Chelsea was able to beat Leeds with a score of 3-2 at Stamford Bridge. Leeds had taken the lead through Raphinha's goal in the 28th minute, but Chelsea was able to turn things around through goals from Mason Mount in the 42nd minute and Jorginho in the 58th minute. Leeds had equalized 7 minutes before normal time ended with Joe Gelhardt's goal. However, Chelsea was able to lock the victory in the 90+4 minute through Jorginho's second goal.
