Leicester City is looking to remedy a slow start to the Premier League season when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Hosts Chelsea is in 12th position with four points after three games. Chelsea was beaten for the first time in the league in 2022/2023 3-0 in their last Premier League game at Elland Road against Leeds United.

Leicester City's last league game saw them beaten 2-1 by Southampton at the King Power Stadium, extending their winless start to three (W0 D1 L2), putting them in 19th place with one point.

The previous Premier League fixture between the clubs saw them draw 1-1 at Stamford Bridge in 2021/2022. James Maddison scored for the Foxes in the sixth minute. Marcos Alonso scored the only goal for the Blues in the 34th minute.

Chelsea has been better than Leicester of late, unbeaten in their last three Premier League games (W2 D1 L0). Leicester is looking for their first league win in a meeting between the two teams since January 2021.

The Blues have beaten the Foxes 6-2 during their unbeaten run. Kalidou Koulibaly, Reece James, and Jorginho have made the difference in the final third for Chelsea this season.

The three players are the team's top scorers with one goal. Maddison has been a major attacking threat for Leicester, scoring twice, including the game's opener.

He is fifth on the league's list of goalscorers in 2022/2023. Hosts Chelsea drew in their only previous Premier League game at home this season.

The Blues are looking to extend their unbeaten run of five home games (W2 D3 L0) to 24 April against West Ham United.

Leicester was beaten in their only previous league game at the King Power Stadium this season. In three league games this season, Chelsea has one win, one draw, and one loss. Leicester, meanwhile, has one draw and two defeats.
